The Lost Card

Hello everyone! Hope all is well with everyone, and that their shopping is all done! I myself am almost finished. I have a few things left to get, but the worst (yeah, I said “worst”) of it is finished. I don't want to go out and finish, because I can't pull myself away from making cards! Seriously! I knew there was a reason why I put my card making supplies away. It's because it's all I want to do when they are out. It's just too much fun, not to mention relaxing!

I have two cards this week, but it's not why you would think. It's actually because I had one card almost finished, but my husbands parents were coming from out of town to stay for a few days so I gathered up all my supplies, thinking I would be able to finish the card the next day. But I actually lost it in all of my “stuff”. So I decided to make another one. And as life goes I was almost finished with the replacement when I found the first one... of course. So, that is why they are a bit similar.

This is the first card I had almost finished “the lost card”. The materials I used-Textured card stock- Core-dinations; Lace- Offray; Buckle-?; Decorative card stock- Studio G; Border punch- Martha Stewart; Ink- Studio G; Blue glitter snowflake- Paper Studio; Mini brads-Doodle Bug Designs; Deckle scissors- Family Treasures; White pen-
American Crafts and the image-“Libby And Her Penguin, Pete” at Squigglefly by myself, Fawn Palmer. I hope you enjoy my two cards today. The replacement card is in the next post! Hope you have a great week, and a very Merry Christmas!

Red and Green

Well, here we are again, seems like I was just doing this, and I even missed a week! It's hard to believe how fast this month is flying by, which means Christmas will be here before we know it! I still have not bought even one Christmas present! Back when my children were young I had my Christmas done before Halloween. Now they are grown, and I only have my youngest still here, and I've yet to buy anything. Sad.
So, here is my card for this week. Materials I used- Solid card stock-Cordinations Foundations; Printed papers- Recollections, Sugar Plum Collection; Ribbon- Offray; Card- made by me; Buttons-?; Stick pin- Dritz; Tag punch- EK; Tag background- Cricket, Lacy Labels, Family; Corner punch- Martha Stewart; 3D Dots, EK; Copic markers; Sentiment stamp- Fiskars; Black ink-Memento; Image- "Katie Has A Gift", artist, me. Soon to be released at Squigglefly.
I wasn't too sure about the green on green on green, but it actually looked better than the other image I colored in a red dress.
I hope you all have a great week! And hopefully you are all done with your Christmas shopping (unlike me) and are able to just stay home and make cards and cookies! ;) Bye!

A Tinsel Angel

So, this is the very first card I have ever entered into ANY challenge. I don't know if I am even doing this right. I guess we'll see. I have been wanting to make a card to enter into a Challenge for so long, and finally found the time to make one. I'm entering this into the Squigglefly Challenge. The challenge is to create a card using glitter and bling. On this card, I have no bling, just glitter. The tinsel halo and the star are covered in glitter, hope that is good enough. The image I used is Tinsel Angel by Fawn Palmer (yup, that's me!). (Sneek Peek--image will be in the Squigglefly store Dec. 1st)

Project Materials- Textured cardstock (Colorbok); Printed color cardstocks ( Nana's Kitchen Stack, DCWV); Lace (?); Gold and silver glitter glue (Studio G); White card, 5X5 (Studio G); Bow (Martha Stewart): Ribbon Flower (Offray); Copic Markers; Image (Tinsel Angel by Fawn Palmer).

So I hope I did this right. If not, just leave me a comment, and I'll try to do better next time! :) Thanks for looking anyway! Have a great day!

This is only one set of about 19 different ones. There is a solid and a lined only set in each one. There are more like; Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, love, Health, serenity, good luck, strength, wedding, peace, harmony, faith, friend (shown), truth, thank you, miss you, beautiful, heart, hello and joy. They are really great because you can use them on cards that a funny one is not appropriate or your not sure of the personality of the receiver, or you don't have or can't find an image to fit the occasion. I myself have used the Chinese symbols alot. And (just a plug) they are only a dollar fifty over at Squigglefly.com. So hop, or should I say fly on over to squiggle fly and take a look at all the wonderful images they have!

So, I guess it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. Here are a few more.
I think this one looks better. Very time consuming, but better. I guess all I need to do now is start working on getting them all done and posted here...yeah, we'll see how long that takes...

Hmmm... the image is too light. Let me try this again.
So here is my first attempt-
So... I have to admit, I am not very computer smart. My husband says I know enough to get me into trouble...hee-hee. I guess he is right. This is the reason I am so far behind on my blog. I have alot of pictures that I need to add, I just am not sure how to add a water mark, but I'm working on it. So i'm going to add a few, and see how they look. Just don't loose faith. Thanks.

Here we are again. Another 2 months has passed. Not alot has happened.  I am now an artist for Squigglefly.com, and I LOVE it! The family that owns it are incredible! They are all so sweet and so great to work with! The mom's name is Holly, and she is a doll (hi Holly). She is so helpful in everyway, She is great! Well, hop (or Should I say fly) on over to SquiggleFly.com and take a look at my images, and then let me know what you think. Or if there is anything special you would like an image of, let me know, and I'll take a stab at it! All righty then, have a great night, and come back and see me, be sure and leave me a note so I know you were here! Hugs! :)
